News Release: Vector Aero Sdn Bhd Conducts Sabah and Sarawak Flight Calibration Mission Ahead of Ramadhan (1–16 February 2026)
Vector Aero Sdn Bhd successfully carried out a Flight Calibration mission across Sabah and Sarawak from 1 to 16 February 2026, as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting safe and reliable air navigation services ahead of the Ramadhan period.
The mission involved a series of ILS and VOR calibration activities at multiple locations in East Malaysia, with operations conducted in Sibu, Tawau, Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu, Miri, Bintulu, Mukah, and Kuching. The deployment began with ferry flights from WMSA and concluded on 16 February 2026 at the end of mission.
Throughout the mission period, Vector Aero Sdn Bhd team carried out planned calibration works in accordance with the scheduled movement, while maintaining operational readiness, safety, and efficiency across all sectors.
A key part of the mission preparation included prior coordination with the Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) team before commencement of the flight calibration activities. This coordination helped ensure smooth implementation and alignment among the relevant parties at the respective stations.
In addition, Vector Aero also acknowledges the support of the Layang Layang Aerospace Team, whose contribution in preparing flight documentation and aircraft readiness played an important role in supporting the mission’s operational preparations.
